Hand Painting

One of my favorite childhood activities was finger painting. Rubbing your hands all around in paint, feeling it squish in between your fingers, and getting messy is awesome. I had some extra paint from decorating the staircase¬†and doors so I thought ‘let’s do hand painting kiddos!’.

They’d never done it before and were hesitant at first. But then they wanted to do it again and again. They compared who had bigger and smaller hands, whose turned out the prettiest and…not so pretty. As the paint wasn’t very child-friendly, I made sure they washed their hands with soap right afterwards.

It was a great way to use my leftover paint and have a fun activity with the kids. Little by little, the house is becoming a home. The kids all put their mark on it and by doing so, added more spirit to the place. Always remember your childish spirit and let it shine!
