Tool Shelf

When I visited Courtney’s site in August, I learned a new way to make a shelf. Instead of fiddling with nails and hammers (how I made one of my spice shelves), simply secure a flat piece of wood to the wall with alambre dulce (wire). If you don’t have wire, use strong string. You may need to ask the help of the visiting kiddos. Once it is tied tightly to the wall, begin to organize your tools and nicknacks. I utilized old KLIM cans to store nails, cement tools, tubes and more. Tucked underneath the shelf are bags of wood shavings for the toilet, cubos of gardening supplies, and a crate of recycled goods. Now my ‘tool side’ of the kitchen is a lot more organized and manageable. How do you organize your tools? What is the easiest way you’ve found to make a shelf?
